Northern
Alberta Hunts
This is in the North Peace
River Region, and is approximately 1600 square miles in size.
This area is sparsely populated with large farms spread through
out the zone. There are plenty of woods around the farms. It
truly is ideal habitat for whitetail deer, with good vegetation
on the hay and grain fields to feed on, and the cover of poplars,
willows and spruce bogs to live in. The Peace River runs the
full length of the zone along with another smaller river running
through part of it. Most of the zone is surrounded by the boreal
forest, because of this we have a fairly heavy concentration
of deer coming into the zone to live. Approximately half of
the area is deeded farm land with the balance being wooded/marginal
crown land.
Our Northern Alberta hunts;
Hunters will fly to Edmonton International airport and then
catch a connecting flight to High Level. Another option from
Edmonton is a daily van shuttle service to High Level.
Southern
Alberta Hunts
We offer whitetail deer hunts,
mule deer hunts and moose hunts in the foothills of South Central
Alberta, about 50 miles east of the Rocky Mountains. This is
a very scenic and game rich area.. We have been operating these
hunts for over 25 years. The zone is approximately 2500 square
miles and is in a mixed farming area with about half of it being
hay and grain land and a number of creeks and small streams.
The balance of the area is aspen, spruce, willow and low land.
You will hunt mule deer and whitetail deer on the second growth
alfalfa fields and the woods surrounding these fields and hunt
moose along creeks, willow bogs and alfalfa fields.
For our Southern Alberta
trips, our hunters fly into Calgary, where we will pick
them up and take them back upon completion of their hunt.
Our farm is about 80 miles NW. of Calgary, where your
hunt will commence. You will stay in a comfortable hunting
cabin, and eat home cooked meals.
