Moose Hunting Our moose hunts are conducted in Southern Alberta. We offer moose hunting for archery hunters during the rut and for rifle hunters in November after the rut. We will be looking at expanding our moose hunts into the Northern Alberta Zone. We hunt Canada moose that average about 36 inches. During our 2007 moose hunts we took a 44 inch moose and in 2008 we took a nice 40 inch moose with a bow. We will see bulls that approach 50 inches but that is good for our area. Our moose hunts take place in the foothills of South Central Alberta where we farm, ranch and live. We have been operating our moose hunting trips for over 25 years. We have access on some pretty good moose habitat along creeks and willow bogs. We also will catch them on the alfalfa fields if we get some cold weather in November. We do both blind hunting and drives when we are hunting these big fellows. This hunt can also be taken in combination with a whitetail deer if you desire. We can also customize your hunt and lengthen it more than the usual 6 days if you wish to spend a little more time on both species. Our moose hunters will stay at our farm in the foothills of South Central Alberta. We have a comfortable hunting cabin to stay in and you will enjoy delicious home cooked meals while on your hunt. Usually it will be only you and your hunting partner in camp while you are moose hunting with us. |
